Police seize firearms and fentanyl

Seven people are facing several charges after the seizure of a large amount of illicit drugs and four handguns.


In early December of 2025, the Peterborough/Northumberland OPP Community Street Crime Unit began an investigation involving the trafficking of cocaine and fentanyl within the Peterborough area.


On Tuesday, three separate warrants were simultaneously executed at different locations in Peterborough and Peterborough County resulting in seven arrests and the seizure of a large amount of illicit drugs, seven 3D printed Tasers, and four loaded firearms.


As a result of the search warrant, police seized 2,419 grams of suspected fentanyl, 1,234 grams of suspected cocaine, 30 grams of suspected methamphetamine, 1,104 suspected Percocets, 1,029 suspected Dilaudids, a large assortment of Schedule IV prescription medication, four firearms, seven 3d printed functional Tasers, two money counters, multiple cell phones, and $39,315 in Canadian currency.


The estimated street value of the drugs seized is roughly $375,000.

Brett Janes, a 24-year-old from Otonabee-South Monaghan, has been charged with possession of fentanyl, cocaine, methamphetimine, Dilaudid, and MDMA for the purpose of trafficking, possession of proceeds crime over $5,000, unauthorized possession of a restricted firearm, knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm, and failure to comply with a release order.


Kylie Forbes, a 21-year-old from Otonabee-South Monaghan, has been charged with possession of Dilaudid and Percocet for the purpose of trafficking and possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.


Amanda Hill, a 46-year-old from Peterborough, has been charged with unauthorized possession of a restricted firearm, knowledge of unauthorized possession of a restricted firearm and possession of fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking.


Stephen MacDonald, a 51-year-old from Peterborough, has been charged with unauthorized possession of a restricted firearm, knowledge of unauthorized possession of a restricted firearm, and possession of fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking.

Tyler McMillan, a 38-year-old from Peterborough, has been charged with possession of fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking.


Tyler Richardson, a 35-year-old from Peterborough, has been charged with possession of fentanyl, cocaine, Dilaudid, Percocet, and XANAX for the purpose of trafficking, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, three counts of unauthorized possession of a firearm, three counts of possession of a prohibited firearm with ammunition, three counts of careless storage of a firearm, and seven counts of possession of a prohibited device.


Dominique Iribon, a 40-year-old from Peterborough, has been charged with possession of fentanyl, cocaine, Dilaudid, Percocet, and XANAX for the purpose of trafficking, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, three counts of unauthorized possession of a firearm, three counts of possession of a prohibited firearm with ammunition, three counts of careless storage of a firearm, and seven counts of possession of a prohibited device.


All accused were held for bail to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough.
